Hi I'm Alana Smith

I'm a Brown Belt in Kenpo Karate, a Music Dance Theater student at BYU, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I just finished performing in BYU's production of Phantom of the Opera in february, I'm a seven year veteran in Kenpo martial arts, I love my ukulele, I'm leaving to serve an LDS mission in Ventura California on April 24th, and my wonderful man and I, Jared Jeffery, are going to get married in the Salt Lake Temple upon my return.

Why I am a Mormon

I know how it feels to be weighed down my mistakes, and trials. I know the atonement is real, and have felt the profound power of God's forgiveness in my life. Through the teachings of the church and the guidence of my leaders I have been able to reallign my life with the Gospel. I am doing my best to make my priorities education, service and family. I can honestly say that living the commandments brings me greater happiness and peace than anything else. I believe that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day saints is the only church with God's authority on the earth today.

How I live my faith

My favorite calling was as Youth Camp Leader at our annual summer camp for girls. We learned gospel doctrine, we taught the girls how to survive in the wild, we ziplined into the lake, we danced, we sang and most importantly, we didn't shower. Nature is the perfect place to feel God's love.
