Hi I'm Amanda Harris

I had a rough beginning. The gospel of Christ gave me hope for a brighter future. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a student at Brigham Young University studying Russian. I have been blessed with many different families: whether my blood family, foster family, or friends. I love them all with my whole heart and they have each had a turn in shaping the person I am today. I love life. I love reading, watching movies, adventures, rain, anything spicy, hot summers, long talks, and listening to music. I served a mission in Russia and it changed my life. I now have a deep love for the Russian people, Russian culture, and Russian language. I strive everyday to follow Jesus Christ and live as he would.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because I want to be happy and I know happiness can be found in living in accordance with Jesus Christ's gospel. I love my Savior and I know that only through Him can I return to my Heavenly Father. I know that this life is not the end. I know I can talk to my Heavenly Father about anything under the sun. This knowledge is my torch in darkness, my compass in light, my friend, and my constant. I can trace every bit of this knowledge back to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I am happy. The definition of the Gospel is the "good news." That itself is happy! I am living the good news.

How I live my faith

There's is not a part of my life that doesn't involve the Church Of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Everything I am and everything I do reflects my belief in my Savior, Jesus Christ. I have been involved in many different capacities in the church, from youth activities, to choir, to serving a mission. I live my faith with every decision I make. I show it through my actions, my smile, and the way I chose to live life.
