Hi I'm Michael

I'm a writer/actor. I live in London. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a writer of short stories, novels, poetry, plus ive written 12 plays for the stage. I enjoy long country walks, swimming and used to enjoy dancing. I trained as an actor at the Central School of Speech and Drama when it was at the Royal Albert Hall where I received a Laurence Olivier Award and first class honours. I continued acting for stage, screen and television for many years travelling the world. I love to read and listen to good music.

Why I am a Mormon

After I had discovered the church while living in New York City I returned to England and quite by chance was walking one day along Exhibition Road South Kensington I saw a large poster on the billboard outside of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, of a red Indian in full costume with the subtitle "Are the red Indians part of the Lost Tribes of Israel?" As my parents were colour slide lecturers for British Israel World Federation which identifies Latter Day Israel in Britain, I was naturally curious to know more. I investigated for three months and after having prayed about it I felt this is the true church of Jesus Christ. I was supported by two wonderful church members, May and Jim, who encouraged me in the early years and beyond. Since being a member I have felt a real strong purpose for living and can now identify pre-existence and eternal prospects.

How I live my faith

I study books relevant to the Gospel of Jesus Christ and I've done personal audio recordings of the entire Book of Mormon and other related scriptures, for sharing purposes. In the Church I taught a class about British conversions by Brigham Young, the second prophet of the Church, of his two missions in the UK. I continue to enjoy sharing my teaching and writing contribution to the church.
