Hi I'm Caroline

I am LDS and a Mormon! I love and know the gospel of Jesus Christ to be true and I strive to live it always.

About Me

I was attending college for the last two years as a student. Now I am putting my life on hold for a year and a half to serve the Lord and bless his children by giving them what I know to be true. I love the country life, horses, the outdoors, activities associated with the outdoors, art, skiing, exercising, playing the piano, dancing, and singing. I come from a big family and I love it. I haven't done a whole lot in my life but graduate from high school, and start college. Now I get to do something important to me, and that's serving a mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the church, but I chose for myself that I wanted to follow the Savior. I was always told that I'd be happy if I chose this path, and I can say it has made and is making my life happy when I try my best to live like Christ. I always believed that the gospel of Jesus Christ was true because of all the good people in my life, that had such a powerful testimony of it. I began with a belief, and now that I've asked God for the truth for myself, I know it is true. It took me years to figure that out for myself but now I can say without a doubt it is true. God loves me and each one of us! We are his children, literally and spiritually. We are here for a purpose. I've felt the love of the Savior as I've repented with a broken heart, and felt that forgiveness as he took away those sins. He already paid for those sins in Gethsemane when he bled from every pore, because all the sins, the pains, and afflictions were hard to bare. He did it for us, cause he loves us. What a great person Jesus Christ is, to be willing to take upon himself all of those things just so we could return to live with him and our Heavenly Father again. I know I'm not perfect and that I sin all the time, just like anybody else, but I feel so lucky to be able to have those sins wiped clean when I ask for that forgiveness from God and Jesus Christ and I receive that forgiveness. I feel so happy when that cleansing happens and the Holy Ghost confirms to me that I am forgiven. The Book of Mormon is another Testament of Jesus Christ and is true, and I know that because I've read it. This gospel makes me happy and I always want to do better and become more like Christ, even though I mess up. I know that when I keep God's commandments I feel so much happier, and that's why they were written. I love my Savior, I love my Heavenly Father, I love the feelings of goodness I get from the Holy Ghost as he bares witness of truth to me. Jesus Christ lives and he will come again to bring us home!

How I live my faith

I feel like I haven't done as much as I would like or should, but the great thing is that I can always improve and do better. I try to be good to my fellowman like the Savior, serving and loving, but I've fallen short and I'm not perfect; but I am still trying to do what he asks of me. I never realized how important it was to me to be a member until after I graduated from high school. Going to college and being alone a couple of times, helped me to rely more on God to help me through my bad experiences, hardships, and trials. He was definitely watching out for me. Even with the smallest things, that are important to me at the time, he was there to help me through them.

Why are Mormons asked to donate 10% of their income to their Church?

I was very low on money when starting school, and because I knew that I'd receive blessings from giving 10% to Heavenly Father I did. I prayed to him saying, "Heavenly Father I know you ask this of me, so I'll do it. I am really struggling with money right now and need help getting enough to pay for my next payment on tuition, and I know that because I do what you want me to do, because I love you, you will provide a way for me to make it through this." I just remembered getting more out of my pay check than I thought I got, and also getting help from my Grandma when it came time to pay. It was a blessing and I am very grateful I followed the law of tithe. God will provide a way if you're willing to do what he asks because you love him. Show more Show less
