Hi I'm Ali

I grew up in Utah. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a full time student trying to keep the balance between school, work, church, friends and family. I love singing, playing the guitar/piano and really just music in general. I am going to school to become a Physicians Assistant. I love reading and learning new things. I wish I could constantly travel to learn about new cultures, places and the people that surround them.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised as a Mormon and it has been all I have ever known. When I first started college I got distracted by all of the things the world had to offer. I attended my weekly church meetings but my heart was not in it. I was depressed and unhappy. I had started to drift away. It was at this point that I realized that I had a choice: I could either become closer to God and His Son or drift away and be swallowed up by the world. I chose the gospel and I am continually reminded how much happiness it brings me. When I am close to God I beam with happiness and confidence because I know that I am pleasing my Heavenly Father by doing what is right.

How I live my faith

I am disciple of Christ by attending church and reaching out to others. Being a Mormon isn't 100% about church though, it's a lifestyle that is filled with high standards and values that are consistently upheld. I visit women in my ward each month with another sister. We do this to make sure that the sisters of the ward are doing well. We bring them a short message about Christ and his teachings to uplift them and let them know that they are not alone.
