Hi I'm Sam

I am from the North West of England. I am 18. I am serving a mission in the Adriatic South. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am Sam. I am 18 years old. I am the 9th of 11 siblings. I received my call to serve as a full-time missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and serve in the Adriatic South Mission, speaking Albanian. I enjoy watching rugby but don't play it much anymore. I enjoy playing football but I'm not very good at that! :) I also love to play the piano! I teach myself to play because I find that more fun than having lessons :) I also used to play the trombone but I am well out of practise. I don't know what I want to do after my mission, but will probably find something I enjoy doing in the next couple of years and then perhaps go to university.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church. My mother was 14 years old when she joined the church and has now been a member for almost 37 years. She, in turn, introduced and converted my father to the church a few years later. I am a Mormon because of the good life it has given me. I has kept me from harm and kept me healthy. I have read the Book of Mormon and believe that it is true. I have always been taught the principles of the church for as long as I can remember and have felt the Spirit testify to me that they are true. I have been able to meet so many wonderful people as a Mormon who share my beliefs, which couldn't happen if I wasn't. Living the Mormon life is the best, healthiest life you can live :) But most importantly, I am a Mormon so that I can return to live with my Heavenly Father again.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving a full time mission for the church in the Adriatic South mission, speaking Albanian. This will hopefully prepare me for the rest of my life, as well as giving me the opportunity to help others come to Christ. I have occasionally prepared activities for the youth in the church, which have ensured everybody has enjoyed themselves and made good friendships with others. I have had the opportunity to conduct the choir of one of our Stake conferences, which I am very thankful for.
