Hi I'm Shawn

I grew up in Washington. I am an outdoorsy person, and I love playing Football and Wrestling. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am an athletic person. In high school I was a Football player and a Wrestler. I hope to continue playing Football at the college level when I return home from my mission. I am not such a fan of the cold weather, but i can live with it most times. I like to hunt and fish and do anything that involves me being outside. I am an Eagle Scout. I like to joke around quite a bit, I mean I really don't take a lot of things seriously but my mission is one of them that I do. I like eating. My favorite foods are without question Italian and Seafood. I am not musically talented whatsoever even though I always pretend to be. I also can not cook very well, but sometime I will learn how. If you can get me hooked on something I really go with it. I am not usually a lazy person if I find something a little bit interesting or beneficial.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church. I have been taught all the lessons multiple times and I can not see anything happening any other way. I know that this gospel is true and that Joseph Smith was a true prophet. he established God's church and it continues to thrive today. I know that by following the commandments that I have been greatly blessed. I have been successful in anything I have tried to do. I have a family and church leaders that love and care for me. I have many friends that are true friends and will help me out as I need it. I know that the temple is the house of god and that following his commandments makes both you and him happy, and we can return to live with him again. We can be sealed to our families and be together with them forever by the plan of salvation, and with the help of temples all that is possible.

How I live my faith

I tend to do a pretty good job at keeping the commandments and following all the rules. I slip up sometimes but I know I can always be forgiven. I was in many different leadership positions with the young men in my ward and scouting. I am a pretty faithful home teacher and I always help out when I am needed. I am still young so I have not had many calling for serving yet or making a big difference, but I have fulfilled all of my callings up to this point in my life. I will be leaving for a Mission on April 10, 2013 and am very excited to get going and serve the lord.
