Hi I'm Christi Botts

Drummer, Music lover, Enjoyer of rugby, Maker Upper of words, I'm an aunt, I love Music and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I was born in South Africa but moved to Ireland with my family when I was 11. I enjoy most things musical, I play drums pretty well while also playing Guitar, Piano, Violin and Harmonica somewhat pathetically. I have four Beautiful Nieces and one very handsome nephew. I love them more than anything. I have lived in Ireland for longer than I lived in South Africa but still miss my home... or just the sun perhaps! I love Thunder and rain storms, and the smell of mud. I love my dog, Thor... Like... "crazy dog lady" kinda love. I have been blessed with a wonderful family who puts up with my weirdness. I enjoy deep doctrinal conversations. I do weird things. Sometimes I'm too honest... if that's a thing? I like languages. I loved potatoes before I moved to Ireland. One day my dreams will come true and I will own a motorcycle! I love rugby. I served a mission in the Colorado, Colorado Springs Mission. My mission was literally the most amazing thing I've ever had the opportunity to do.

Why I am a Mormon

I used to think I was a Mormon because my parents were Mormon and that's how I was raised. I have come to realise that I do not believe the things that I do and act the way I act because I am a Mormon, I am a Mormon because this Church, The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter-day Saints is the only church that fits with the things I believe to be true. The Gospel has always been a source of happiness and enjoyment for me, I love to have deep doctrinal conversations and discuss my opinion on things which has always been encouraged by leaders in the Church. I was always the "what if" girl in church, I would be taught a gospel principle and would almost straight away come back with a Scenario where I thought "What if this principle isn't relevant here" and my questions were never ignored but always encouraged and answered. I know that it is true and knowing that this gospel is true, I couldn't justify being anything else but a Member of this church.

How I live my faith

Faith has always been a verb to me rather than a possession and so I try to act on those things that I believe to be true, I believe in the blessings of tithing and so I pay it. I believe in the power of Prayer and so I pray.
