Hi I'm JanaLee

I Live in the United States. I am an aspiring artist. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I like to do just about anything, and there are very few things I would not try at least once. I like zip-lining, slip and slides, basketball, hiking, acting, singing, watching movies, playing games, and spending time with my family. I eventually would like to travel. I want to dive in the Great Barrier Reef, and visit famous places in Europe like the Louvre and the Eiffel Tower. I enjoy art of any kind. I am currently studying art at a university. I love it! I have always loved to draw from the time I could hold a crayon. I have moved several times in my life, four that I can remember. With every move, I found new and wonderful friends. It is interesting to look back at my life and see how much my life has changed with each new experience. There is always something new around the corner. Sometimes the new changes are happy and exciting. Sometimes they bring with them extremely hard lessons to learn, and yet, somehow I am always better off when everything is said and done.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, which explains why I became a Mormon, however, it does not explain why I am a Mormon still. I have had a life full of obstacles and challenges, and without this gospel, I do not know if I would have made it through them. I am a member of this church because I know there is a God in Heaven and I have felt the truth and happiness which comes from living this gospel. There is a peace that comes into my life when I am living according to the things I learned all while growing up. I have watched other people who were struggling learn about this church. Without fail, the more they followed the principles they learned, the more their happiness grew. I know that this gospel has the truths that will make us happy. I believe in a God who not only knows us, but cares for us as His children. He has set this gospel apart as a way for us to learn of Him, and to learn how we can be happy in this life and the life to come as families for eternity.

How I live my faith

I am in a young single adult group in my church called a ward. We meet every Sunday for three hours - the first hour we all meet together, the second hour we split up in to smaller classes, and the third hour the men and women meet separately. The smaller class that I am in teaches about the importance of knowing our family heritage and how to find members of our family trees. In my ward, I serve as an indexer for records containing family history information. What this means, is that I set apart some of my spare time to log into a church network and help put information contained in physical documents such as birth and death certificates into a searchable online database. I try to live my faith everyday by living the things I believe in: being kind, honest, and caring about everyone I meet.
