Hi I'm Mitch Wilkes

I'm a thrill seeking missionary serving in Alberta Canada! I love to be active and make people laugh, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Born in Utah, lived in Portland Maine for a good season.. Graduated high school at Davis High class of 2013. I love everything to do with action sports. I'm a huge skier and love to film and edit ski movies. I love being outdoors and enjoying this beautiful world with those I love! I'm currently serving a mission in Alberta Canada!

Why I am a Mormon

I will forever be grateful for being born in the gospel. The opportunities I had growing up and the example of both my parents has greatly influenced me for good. In my life I don't really like grey areas. I like things to be black and white, I'm pretty simple. The restored gospel is simple, it's true. I've felt it on multiple occasions. The Book of Mormon is true. I know Joseph Smith is a prophet of God. Everybody is searching for happiness, and I've attained it because of my faith in Christ and being apart of His Church.

How I live my faith

The gospel allows me to be the person I want to be. In my youth I thought my faith was very restricting, I had the idea that what I want for my life is better than what the Lord wants. The experiences I had putting my will above the Lords pushed me further away from my Heavenly Father. I noticed I wasn't happy. Once I started to align my will with the will of my Father in Heaven I noticed how happy I was. I noticed that when we decide to follow Christ, live as he lived, and put the Lord first we can receive a fullness of Joy. I live my faith because It makes me happy.
