Hi I'm Jaimee

I love to travel. I love to spend time with kids, especially my nieces and nephews. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm from a large family - I have five sisters, three brothers, three brothers-in-law, three sisters-in-law, fourteen nieces and nephews, and of course, my two loving parents. I love playing the piano, and music is one of my main inspirations. My main talent in life is school, and I love to learn! I graduated with my Associates degree before I graduated from high school. After graduating from high school, I went to a year of college and majored in Elementary Education. I then decided to take a semester off and teach English to children in Ukraine. While there, I discovered a love for traveling, Russian, Ukraine, history, and above all for kids.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in a Mormon family, and for much of my life I never questioned the truth of it. However, in my later teenage years I began to wonder if it was really true. Only after praying, sincerely, for months did I finally receive the witness I was looking for. I KNOW that Jesus is the Christ, and that he is my Savior and Reedemer. I know that He loves me, and that my Heavenly Father loves me, just as he loves all of his children. I used to wonder why the Lord would allow some of his children to go through life without the Gospel if he truly loved them. I have since, however, received a witness that the Lord does love all of his children, more than I can fully comprehend. He wants all of them to have His truth, and His gospel, and will provide a way, in time, for each of them to have the opportunity to either accept or reject it. He knows each of His children personally. I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God, and that through it the Lord answers prayers. I know that Thomas S. Monson is the Lord's prophet and mouthpiece on the earth today. I know that through him, the Lord reveals His will for His children. When I live the Gospel fully, and stay true to my testimony and standards, I am happier. I have seen how the gospel has brought happiness to so many people, and have seen others slightly discontent in their lives without realizing it is because they are the missing the blessings and truths that come from this church. Having this testimony inspires me to become more Christlike, and to try and better serve my fellow men.

How I live my faith

I love having this gospel in my life! I love things that I get to do often, such as praying and reading my scriptures! I love going to church! I love being able to go and feel the spirit, and to learn more of Christ and his teachings. I love being able to partake of the Sacrament, renew my covenants, and reflect on the life of my Savior. I love being able to go to Sunday School, and hear other people's thoughts and interpretations of the scriptures, which helps me to further expand my own knowledge. I am currently serving as a missionary in the West Virginia Charleston Mission, and I love being able to teach the gospel to these wonderful, kind, loving people! I feel so blessed that the Lord has extended to me the calling of being a missionary, and I get so excited to share His gospel with those of His children who have not had the opportunity to hear it for themselves.
