Hi I'm Scott

I was born in Utah, but grew up in North Carolina. I love sports, scuba diving and being with family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love outdoor activities and just about any sport - although playing football is my favorite. I'm a scuba certified. In high school, I was in theater (since I was 5'2" until the end of my freshman year - I'm 6'5" now). I'm a father of 3 wonderful children and I am married to my best friend. I grew up in the South and was one of only a few Mormons in my high school. I design and develop computer software for healthcare providers and enjoy serving others.

Why I am a Mormon

I come from a long line of Mormons. My great-great-grandfather was a Mormon pioneer. I was baptized at age 8 (as is customary). However, I had my conversion experience at the age of 17. I came to personally know that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is true through very personal and deep spiritual experiences. The more that I study the doctrines and teachings of the LDS church the more convinced and confirmed I become to its truthfulness. It makes sense. It fills in all the missing pieces.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving others and by working to be the best father and husband that I can be. I try hard to be an example of love and kindness by serving my fellowman. I currently serve as the 2nd Counselor in the Bishopric in my ward which means that I have an opportunity to serve people and to be aware of acute needs and circumstances. I live my faith by trying to be a better person each day than I was the day before.

What is being a Mormon like?

Being a Mormon is a rewarding lifestyle. I feel a deep love and connection with my family and a deep love and connection to my Heavenly Father and Savior Jesus Christ. Show more Show less
