Hi I'm Jared Demke

Right now I'm serving a mission in Pennsylvania for the church.

About Me

I'm 21 years old. I play the guitar, I enjoy reading, and I love being with my Family. I love exercising, being active, and being outdoors.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in this religion, but through time, I needed a stronger reason to stay apart of this chuch. I know that through Sincere prayer, also faith in Jesus Christ, that I became truely converted to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints. The Mormon Chuch, indeed, has everything we need to come unto Christ.

How I live my faith

Serving others is the only true religion. That's how I live mine.

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

Jared Demke
There is a prophet like Moses today. He is not just the Prophet of the Mormons, but he is the Prophet to the entire world. Some might think that there is no need for modern day Prophets, that the prophets in the old and new testaments have said enough, and we shouldn't add or subtract what is already the word of God. Thomas S. Monson, the prophet to the world in modern times, has not and will not add or subtract; modern day prophets are here to guide the world in our common and modern issues or concerns. I have faith in Thomas S. Monson and know that he is one of God's Elect. He speaks the word of God because God speaks to him through the holy spirit. Show more Show less

Why is family so important to Mormons?

Jared Demke
Growing up I really was able to see how important it was that my Mom and Dad were usually on the same page. I learned about the certain loyalty that only comes in families, but the most important is that there are principals and truths that I really only could learn in the walls of my own home. Mormons believe that the teachings of Christ are best taught in the family, and that the family unit is essential to creating happiness. Show more Show less
