Hi I'm Abby

I'm a mom. I'm a military wife. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm an only child, mom of four sweet children, and wife to one amazing Marine. I enjoy reading, sewing, cooking, traveling, and homeschooling. I grew up in Maryland, but have since lived in Utah, California, and Virginia, and visited most states in between.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was 13 a really good friend invited me to come to church with her and meet with the missionaries, after having gone to camp with her a few times. I was having some family problems at the time, and enjoyed being with her family so I agreed to come over to her house and meet with the missionaries. When they started teaching me and asked me to read the Book of Mormon that my friend had given me I felt this joy that I just couldn't explain. Answers to questions that I had had about my previous church were answered, and I just knew everything about the church was right. Since that time I have continually felt the hand of the Lord in my life, and my testimony of the truthfulness of the Gospel has grown. I have felt peace come from the Holy Ghost during times of trial. I have received answers to prayer as I read the Bible and the Book of Mormon, and I have enjoyed the blessing of a temple marriage and knowing that our family can be together forever.

How I live my faith

Being a mother gives me the opportunity to daily live and teach as the Savior did when He was on the earth. I want my children to know that as much as I love them their Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ love them more. As I immerse myself in Christ's teachings so that I can share them with my children, I strive to make them a part of my daily living. As my husband has served in different places with the military we have met so many people who have such difficult burdens, and who don't feel love in their lives, but as we invite them to spend time with our family they often tell us how much happier they feel. I want to live my life so that others feel the love of their Savior.
