Hi I'm Sidney (Todd)

I was born in London England and grew up in Romford Essex. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I have served in the British Army and traveled considerably. I have worked as a shop Manager, and dairy farm worker and as a Salesman. I enjoy reading historical novels and the study of LDS docrine. I am a country boy at heart and love nature and wildlife.

Why I am a Mormon

Most of my life I have been a Christian believing in the Lord Jesus Christ and have belonged to various denominations. However, when I reached my 60s, I realized that I knew little more about the Christian religion than I did when I was a child attending a Baptist Sunday School. Most of my knowledge came from personal study of the Bible, and very little from teachings of the churches. My trying various denominations was due to my constant seeking for knowledge and truth and a spiritual home. Eventually I requested visit from the Missionaries of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (LDS). I was so impressed with what they had to say that I soon accepted baptism and became a member of that church. Over the 14 years I have been a member, I have studied the doctrines of the church in depth and find there is always something new to discover. I know in the depths of my heart that the LDS teachings are true. My membership of the church has changed my life so much for the better and given me a sense of purpose and peace and confidence. Without a doubt, becoming a member of the church is the best thing I have ever done in my life.

How I live my faith

I am very active in my church and as the Sunday School President of our congregation, oversee the various study classes for adults and youth. I also am a "Ward Missionary" which means that I help the full time missionaries with there responsibilities. I like to visit members of our church who live locally as a friend and confident.
