Hi I'm Rose

I am a mother, a wife, a sister (biological, and foster), a retired gymnast, a perpetual student of life and I'm Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother of two, so far. My parents have been doing foster care since I was born. I was raised with many brothers and sisters, most of whom with special needs. I did gymnastics for 15 years. The desires of my heart right now is to learn how to raise and educate my children and be a support to my husband.

Why I am a Mormon

I come from a long line of Mormons on both sides of my family. The very culture of my family has left me no doubt that my Heavenly Father lives, loves, and is personally interested in my life. I can remember my dad constantly bearing testimony through songs and hymns of faith. He would read us stories from the Bible and was always pointing out the hand of the Lord in our own lives. I will never forget my grandmothers example of the peace that can come by having a firm testimony of our Heavenly Father's plan for us. When her parents died, it could have been a very difficult time. I was very young and can't remember very many details. My grandparents had been taking care of my grandmothers parents during the last years of their lives. When they passed away I remember not being sure, for a moment, what to think. Then my grandmother smiled real big and clapped her hands. She treated it more like a graduation and expressed her faith that her parents would be not only waiting on the other side but would still be actively participating in our lives. These examples and many more have lead me to have a great desire to gain that same kind of relationship, faith and peace in my own life. I have prayed, read the words of the prophets ancient and current, thought about it and prayed some more. Through my experiences and the guidance of Gods holy spirit I have gained my own testimony of His Church; The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I have not seen any other church that is more complete in expressing Gods love for His children, in implementing His plan to save, and giving the opportunity for further progression.

How I live my faith

Though I have been a teacher in my church's Sunday School for young children and organized and participated in service opportunities, the most important thing I do is teach and serve in my own home. I teach my children about Faith, Love, Repentance, Honesty, Respect and Reverence. If my children grow up to have a firm understanding and belief that they have a Heavenly Father who loves them dearly; and because of that, a strong desire to serve him, I will feel like I have had success.
