Hi I'm Tanner Strauss

I grew up in BC, Canada. I love soccer, and I am a missionary in Paris, France. I am a mormon.

About Me

I am a very easy person to get along with, I love to have fun and I love seeing people happy. I really enjoy sports, music, dancing, and chilling with friends. I am far from perfect, I have had my own struggles and there are many areas I need to improve on. But I am proud of who I am today and look forward to who I can be tomorrow. I am always thinking about how I can better myself and become a better man, husband, and father. I am currently serving in the beautiful France, Paris mission and loving every minute of it. I was extremely blessed to be able to serve for four weeks in the Canada, Montréal mission due to Visa troubles. I hope to become a family doctor someday because I love to help people. I am focused on serving the Lord on my mission but I am also excited for the prospect of school and marriage when I get home. I am working hard to do what is best for me and my future family.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church, but I myself have come a long way and discovered its truth for myself. I was blessed with being born LDS, but it has been my decision to live its teachings. Both of my parents are converts and have the most amazing testimonies. I am so grateful for them and their support as I serve the Lord for 2 years of my life. I love my family, I have four brothers, including two younger adopted brothers. We have our conflicts at times but we love each other in the way only brothers can. Family is the most important thing to me, next to the Gospel, especially my future family. I want to be a loving and caring husband and father, and this Gospel is the perfect way I can achieve that. I look to my parents as examples for when I too want to be a parent. They have raised me and my brothers so well and they love unconditionally, they really are such great examples to me. In the world today, divorce is more and more becoming an escape route for marriage. There is nothing I fear more than divorce because I know all about its destructive effect on families. But I know that the gospel blesses and strengthens families and that is such a comfort to me. I know that if I do all I can in this life that I will be successful and that me and my future family will be blessed. I would not be who I am today without the gospel, it has been a support to me in tough times and has instilled so many good qualities into who I am. I know that God loves me and answers my prayers. I have faith that through the gospel, I can find a happiness that I have never known and through obedience, I can be abundantly blessed. I love the gospel and I want to share it and the blessings I have received from it with everyone I can. I know that God has a plan for all of us and that this plan is for our eternal happiness. This gospel means everything to me, it is the greatest blessing in my life.

How I live my faith

I have been someone who loves to help others, I love that feeling that you get inside when you do service for someone else. I would always be looking for a service project to be done, whether in the community or outside of it. I am currently serving a mission in Paris, France and it has so far been the greatest blessing in my life. I have grown so much spiritually and as a person. It is by far the hardest thing I have done in my life but serving is what I've been asked to do and I will go and do, and I love it with all my heart.
