Hi I'm Rebecca Bahr

I grew up in Washington state. I'm a graduate of BYU-Idaho. I'm married. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm the oldest child of the family and I love spending time with by siblings. I grew up in Washington state. I currently work in Public Relations and I absolutely love it! I enjoy baking, golfing, crafts, music and dancing. I'm married to the most wonderful man in the world!

Why I am a Mormon

Growing up, my family was very nontraditional. The Gospel became a huge part of my life in my late teens. I was searching for understanding and yearning to know the truth about religion. The types of people I was surrounding myself with wasn't helping me achieve understanding. I was very angry with God for my family situation and I would often lash out and rebel against what anyone told me to do. After a while, all the anger, hurt and guilt became too much for me to handle. It felt like I had a huge backpack full of bricks on and I wanted them gone. After attending church for a while, I learned that I needed to forgive people I needed to. It wasn't until I was in college that I actually forgave those people. I remember the moments vividly. I could literally feel Christ taking out the bricks and putting them in His own pack. I knew that He was taking my burdens upon Himself. I could feel my brother, Jesus Christ, helping me forgive my loved ones. From that moment on, I strive to stay close to Jesus and God. They help me through all of my trials. This church saved my life in more then one way. I know that it's true. I know that God and Jesus live. I know that Joseph Smith translated the Book of Mormon by the power of God and that the contents in that book are true. The Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ. I know that families can be sealed together for time and eternity in the Temple. I know that this gospel brings happiness.

How I live my faith

I love to serve others and see them having a good time! At church I lead the choir. I love music so much! I love how music makes people feel and how I can feel closer to Jesus through it. I also visit other women in our ward to make sure they are doing ok. In the community, I volunteer on some city councils. I enjoy planning events and helping others plan theirs.
