Hi I'm Anna

I'm from Arizona. I graduated from Brigham Young University. I am serving an 18-month mission for the church. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Growing up in a small town in Arizona has always played a huge role in my life. I needed to be involved with many things and was able to learn how to work. I've always loved being home, but I knew I needed to go to college and gain valuable knowledge. During college, where I switched my major at least 3 times before deciding to become a teacher, I continued to work hard to accomplish all I could while there. Becoming a teacher was one of the best decisions because it led me to where I am today. I tought 4th grade last year and loved inspiring students every day. I am the youngest of seven children so I've always had amazing examples to look up to and I have 21 nieces and nephews that I hope to also inspire. I am now serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I am excited to apply all I've learned and help bring others the beautiful gospel message.

Why I am a Mormon

I was blessed to have been born in a home with the gospel. A friend asked me once when, exactly, I had gained my testimony of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and I simply said, "I've always known." I've never had one specific moment or epiphany of knowing, but it has been a gradual process that seemed to increase over time. I would simply practice faith in something and by building on that faith, eventually after that faith was tested, I would come to know that principle. Our Heavenly Father would not leave us helpless without guidance in these Latter-Days. He had prophets on the Earth during the time of Christ and is the same yesterday, today, and forever. He has provided us with Latter-Day prophets and a way to return to live with him some day. He loves us and has a plan for each of us. He is aware of each of our needs and will bless us in times of need. I have had countless prayers answered and I have felt the peace and knowledge that this is Christ's true church on the Earth today. I read the Book of Mormon, pondered, and asked God for myself if what I had read was true and I cannot deny what I felt. I have never felt such love and comfort in my life. Of course I have had hardships, broken hearts, and trials. I have learned though that those trials were for my good. Looking back, I became a stronger person and closer to my Savior after turning to the Lord during these trials. I hope that everyone can come to feel the peace the gospel brings to my life.

How I live my faith

I am serving a mission for my church and striving to be an example of Jesus Christ in all I do. I like to think of it as being the hands or the instruments that our Savior can use to help uplift his precious sons and daughters. I can look for those who may be in need or having a hard day and simply remind them that they are loved not only by me, but by a loving Father in Heaven. This gospel wants us to be happy and to have peace and I know that by turning our concerns over to the Lord, we can gain that peace in our lives. I am grateful each day for the chance to serve and I know that when we are on the Lord's errand, we are entitled to the Lord's help. My purpose is to invite others to come unto Christ by helping them receive the restored gospel through faith in Jesus Christ, and His atonement, repentance, baptism, receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost, and enduring to the end.
