Hi I'm Kristen

I'm a chemistry major at BYU. I like black and white movies, and I love just spending time with family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm from Idaho Falls, but right now I am going to school in Provo at BYU working towards a degree in chemistry. I am preparing to serve a mission and I have been called to serve in Morristown, New Jersey. I love this gospel, and it has brought me so much happiness. I can't wait to go out and share what I know with others.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I've seen the difference it makes in my life. I was born in the church, but when I was in high school I really wanted to figure out what I believed for myself, independent of my parents. I prayed, I studied the Bible, and I asked a lot of questions about this church, as well as about other faiths. I was beginning to get discouraged, and then I decided to read the Book of Mormon again. I felt a power behind me and a purpose in my life as I studied. All of my struggles didn't disappear, but my perspective broadened and I knew that God was helping me. Everything seemed easier, I felt closer to my family, and I felt so much peace. This gospel makes me happy, makes me better, and brings me close to my Father in Heaven. I know that it's true.

How I live my faith

I'm getting ready to serve as a missionary in New Jersey for 18 months, and I am so excited. The gospel is everything to me, and it influences every aspect of my life. I lean on my relationship with my Savior for help with my family, my studies, my work, and I think that the best way to live your faith is to be a strong example. I'm not perfect, but I try to live in a way that lets people know that I love my God and am trying to follow Him. When I'm doing what He wants me to, He can use me to touch people here. I want to always be ready to serve when He calls, and I can't wait to go to New Jersey and tell people about this message.
