Hi I'm Matt

I'm the oldest of eight children. I'm a film maker and an athlete. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently a senior in high school and am ready to be done. I love music and play the cello. I'm also on my school's tennis team but I love pretty much every other sport as well. Some of my hobbies include photography, hiking, snowboarding, and loads of other outdoor activities. I'm really interested in film making and am hoping to go into that career and maybe someday be a director/producer. I am the oldest of eight children...so things around the house can be pretty crazy sometimes. I'm loving life right now and am excited for the possibilities that await after I graduate from high school.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the LDS faith and have been taught since I was very young. However I have prayed on my own and studied scripture and have come to know of the truth of what my parents have taught me. As I strive to better myself and to keep my sight focused on Jesus Christ and His doctrines and teachings I feel His guidance and love every single day. When I try my hardest to live the way I've been taught I see and notice differences in my life. I recognize that God does live and that He loves every person that lives, has lived, and will live on this earth. I see that He works miracles now just like He always has. I love my Savior. I know that Jesus Christ died for me that I may be able to live with my family forever and reach my full potential. I am grateful for this knowledge.

How I live my faith

As a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints I strive to be an example and representative of the Savior Jesus Christ. I currently serve in my local church as a pianist for several meetings--I'm not very good, but that's what I get for giving up piano. I also serve in a presidency of young men my age at church. We look out for each other in all aspects of life: at home, school, and in church. We focus on trying to shape our lives in the way that Christ wants us to. After I graduate from high school I have volunteered and received a call to serve a two year religious mission. I am excited to serve others and bring them unto Christ in this way.
