Hi I'm Cole

I am a full time college student. I love sports, and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up on a farm with cows and horses, and I love to play sports. I did football, wrestling, and track in highschool, but I like any sport. I love doing anything exciting that can give me an adrenaline rush. I taught myself how to tumble, and I just currently went skydiving in Hawaii. I love to learn new skills or talents, and I enjoy improving and becoming better at things. I also play the piano and the guitar. I love music and hanging out with friends and family.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a family that has taught me about this church for my whole life. I have always tried to do what's right and be faithful to Heavenly Father. However, I didn't gain a strong testimony of my own until I left for college. When I left, I had to make the decision if I was going to devote my life to this gospel. I was going through a hard time in my life and I needed to find answers. I decided that I was going to do everything in my power to find out if this was the true church or not. After constant obedience, prayer, and sacrifices of my own, I now know of a surety that this is the true and everlasting gospel of Jesus Christ, my savior. I know that he loves me and everyone else. He wants us to come unto Him, but he has given us the agency to be able to do that on our own. As I've been obedient to His gospel, I have felt an overwhelming feeling of peace and happiness that can't be described. I have grown to have a love for everyone, and I want everybody to feel this peace and happiness. I am going to give the rest of my life and all of eternity to my Heavenly Father and Savior. They have done so much for me, and I know that they love all of us, and will always have open arms towards anyone that has a desire to feel that love.

How I live my faith

I have been called to teach a class in my current ward where I now live. I have never been known to be a good public speaker or good with words, and the class that I was called to teach had a lot of older people who had more knowledge than I did about this gospel. However, as I put my trust and faith in my Heavenly Father and my Savior Jesus Christ, they helped me to have the strength to teach the class. They gave me the strength to teach the class in a way that helped to uplift me and everyone in the class. I have seen and felt the power and truthfulness of Christ's church and I know it is true. I also serve my Heavenly Father and ward members by fulfilling my home teaching assignment. This is where my companion and I go to the homes of ward members to teach them and uplift them. We also make sure that they are doing okay, and ask if they need any help with anything. I have become a better person by helping these members. I have also decided to serve a mission for my church, and I will be giving two years of my life to my Savior and Heavenly Father. I know that it is what I am suppose to do. Even though I will be leaving all personal affairs behind for a long period of time, I want to share the love of Jesus Christ to everyone that I can so that I can help to bring happiness into their lives.

What do Mormons believe about the nature of God?

God is our loving Heavenly Father who cares about and knows each and everyone of us here on the Earth. He is all powerful and he is perfect in every way. He is all knowing and merciful. He is always willing to forgive us. His love for us is more than we can comprehend, but we can feel it if we are obedient to Him. He wants us to do our best and become more like him every day. We can do this by following the example of Jesus Christ in the Holy Bible and Book of Mormon. God will never change and he will always want the best for us. I know that God is real and that He knows me on a personal level. He knows me better than I know myself. He wants me and everyone else to return to Him after we pass away from this life. He will always be willing to help us if we ask. I know that is true. Show more Show less
