Hi I'm Leah

I'm a missionary in the Denver, Colorado area! I strive daily to live a positive & happy life! And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the oldest of four children. I grew up in the heart of the United States with my family. I love bringing joy into others' lives by serving. I enjoy anything creative. After attempting the violin & guitar, I found my nitch playing the piano. Through my photography & music I am able to glorify God & Jesus Christ in my own personal form. I strive to cultivate & create in ways I hope make Them happy. I am serving a mission in the Denver area from fall of 2015 to the spring of 2017!

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I feel my Savior's love the strongest here. I've been many places & churches, I've studied many different religions & beliefs - but the restored gospel brings me more peace & surety than anything else I've experienced. By following the restored gospel, I've been able to live a life filled with peace. I've come to know God as my Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ as my Savior, and the Holy Ghost as my dearest friend on this earth. I know that by following the teachings and commandments of the church, I will become who God wants me to be. I know there's no other way I can fulfill the potential He has for me.

How I live my faith

My parents have always been incredible examples of service - whether it be through church callings or assignments, out in the community, or within the walls of our own home. From a young age my siblings & I have recognized their natural willingness to serve. I have tried my best to emulate their example in my own life. Our church provides many ways for me to serve others & my Savior. I have served in youth leadership since I was twelve and I dedicate time to help the missionaries in my area. I decided when I was sixteen to dedicate a year & a half to serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints when I turned nineteen. This decision came after many experiences of feeling the overwhelming love that the Savior has for us. This love is the core of all of my decisions, goals, and dreams in life. His love propels me & gives me a strength that's beyond my own. His love brings me inexpressible joy! I want others to feel what I feel & know what I know - that's why I've decided to serve Him as a missionary. My family has served with a Lutheran church for 10 years. They are well established in our city serving tens of thousands every year. Through their community - that's been serving since '71 - we have had opportunities on a weekly basis to serve others. From a young age, my parents instilled the true meaning of charity in my heart, which I'm eternally grateful for: "Perhaps the greatest charity comes when we are kind to each other, when we don't judge or categorize someone else. Charity is accepting someone's differences, weaknesses, and shortcomings." (Marvin J. Ashton) Service is how I live my faith. When I'm serving, I feel close to my Savior.
