Hi I'm Amanda

I play the piano. I quote movies excessively. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love running, reading Jane Austen books, watching movies, and taking road trips. I am currently serving a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in South Korea. I plan on majoring in Economic Studies from BYU-Idaho when I return home.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because the LDS Church is the only true church on the Earth. I am grateful to have a knowledge of the gospel of Jesus Christ; it comforts, strengthens, and sustains me. We are all sons and daughters of God. The knowledge that God lives and loves us, has an eternal plan for all His children, and is aware of us all individually is so comforting. The gospel brings us happiness and peace. I know that when I am living the gospel and striving to do my best, I am a happier person, better friend, and more loving sibling.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to be better each day and by sharing the good news of the gospel with others. A missionary's purpose is to invite others to come to Christ -- to know what we know, feel how we feel about the Savior, and develop a personal relationship with Him. Inviting people to know the goodness of the message we proclaim is inviting them to come live happier lives with more hope, direction, and comfort. I try to be an example of the believers by seeking to improve myself each day. If we have faith in Jesus Christ, we have a desire to take the actions necessary to progress in this life. We are not here to achieve perfection, but through the Atonement of Jesus Christ we can become more and more like Him.
