Hi I'm Bailey

I grew up in Utah. I'm inspired by people every day. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was less active until I was about 12 years old. One day, two girls my age came to my house to invite me to an activity. I kept going and soon gained a testimony of my own. I was hooked to the Book of Mormon as I continued to read and study it every day. About a year later, my mom was diagnosed with cancer. This trial started to really test my faith and obedience. Eventually cancer finally took her life. The day after she passed away was also the very last day that I saw my dad. I was 14 years old and felt completely alone. A few weeks later, I was visited by a social worker. I don't remember much from the visit, but I do remember her giving me a pamphlet as she left. On the front was a child crying, with a huge caption reading, "Your new life...alone." That was the darkest time of my life. The following months were numbing. Then one night I had a dream. In the dream, I was walking down a long dark hallway to a set of doors. I opened the door to find a coffin in an empty room. I knew that it was my mom's. I walked up to the coffin and felt all the feelings of rush back. I then looked down and saw a pair of bare feet. I knew that it was Christ. I fell down and began to cry. He immediately knelt down beside me and wrapped His arms around me. I will never forget how I felt. I knew that I was not alone. This gospel is the greatest gift I could have been given. I know that it is true, every aspect, without a doubt.

Why I am a Mormon

This gospel gives me so much strength, hope and peace that can be found no where else. Nothing can take the place of my testimony. I know, without a doubt, that my Father in Heaven has put faith and trust in me to help build His kingdom.

How I live my faith

I have learned that just like our bodies need nourishment, our souls do as well. Almost three years ago, I made the decision to receive my own endowments. That was the best decision I have ever made. I have a strong testimony about the work and the temple. I made the decision to go to the temple each week. because of this decision, my faith and testimony have strengthened so much. When I go, I walk out of the temple a stronger disciple of my Savior Jesus Christ. I also make it a commitment to read my scriptures each day. I use the "Preach My Gospel" manual as a companion in studying the scriptures. I also try to find ways, each day, to be an instrument in the Lord's hands. I try to carry an extra Book of Mormon with me where ever I go; school, work, vacations, you just never know when the Lord is going to use you to spread His gospel.
