Hi I'm Bryson

I am from Alabama, and I am a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Bryson. I am 18. I am the oldest of 8 kids. My parents are incredible, and I love them so much. I am graduated from high-school, in 2013, and I am serving a mission in Tacoma Washington. I worked as much as I can so I could pay for my mission on my own. I had the best job on earth! I was a lifeguard on an Army base. We have 4 pools, 3 summer outdoor pools and a year round indoor pool. Alabama summers are the best time of the year, with lots of sun, swimming, fishing and sports. When I am not working, I spend my time with my family, friends, and playing sports. Basketball and Ultimate Frisbee are my favorite sports. For ultimate, I play on a club team that travels all over the south playing in tournaments. The people in my family are my favorite people in the world! Music is also a huge part of my life. I love music so much! I play the Piano, Guitar, Organ, and sing in choirs when I can.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the true, restored church of God. I have been a member of the church my entire life. My parents have been incredible examples to me, and they have always made sure that I have my own relationship with Christ. As long as I can remember, I have had my very own testimony of Christ. I am always striving to make my testimony stronger. Joseph Smith did translate the book of Mormon, and established Christs Church in the present time. This Church is true, I know it. I would be a completely different person without this church. My relationship with Christ is the most valuable thing I will ever have. If I didn't have it, I would feel like I am missing half of myself. Because I find such joy from my Testimony of God, I wish everybody in the world could feel the same way. If only everyone could have as much joy and peace as I do. I want to share my testimony with everybody, and hope that people listen, and then gain their own testimony of Christ. I am so grateful that he died for my sins. The atonement is an incredible act, and I am thankful that I can repent for my sins. The plan of salvation shows me that God loves me. Because God sent me to earth and gave me agency to choose right or wrong I can live with God again. There is almost nothing that would make me happier than to be with my family for all of eternity. I know that this is Gods church, and that God loves us.

How I live my faith

One important way that I am showing how I live my faith is by going on a mission. I am serving in the Tacoma, Washington Mission. I am spending two years of my life all the way across the country sharing my testimony and working to bring others closer to Christ. I want everyone to feel the spirit through me, and for them to know how much I love them. I was an organist at church, and I spend a lot of time preparing so I can play the hymns well. When I play the organ, or when I play a special musical number, I try to play in a way that others can feel my testimony through my music. With my youth group, I reached out to youth who are less active, and those who are interested in the church. I try to be a good example of what a member of Christs church should be like. Service is a big part of how I live my faith. There is always someone who cannot do their own yard work, or someone who needs a project done for them, or needs some kind of help. I know Christ would have me help any person in need, so I look for opportunities to serve. Every Sunday, another young man and I, after church, would drive around to families who were unable to attend church and partake of the sacrament. No matter how many families we visit, or how far away they live, I am always so happy to see these people have the opportunity to take the sacrament.
