Hi I'm Cami

I've lived in Utah all my life. I am a daughter, a sister, a friend. I'm a mormon.

About Me

I am a 25 year old from Utah and have lived here all of my life. I am the oldest of four children. One brother and two sisters (my poor brother right?) I was born and raised LDS. I am eternally grateful for my parents for giving me a firm foundation to build my own testimony upon. I am in a young single adult ward. I love going to church with those that are my age and to be able to grow with them. We strengthen each other in faith, hope and in friendship. I have met some of my best friends there. I love to spend time with my family and friends. They bring so much joy to my life. I work as an office assistant for an electric company and I absolutely love my job. I love everything music. It can express about every emotion you can think of. I also love to read. I love to escape the troubles of the world and jump into a fantasy world. Even if it's just for a moment.

Why I am a Mormon

Although I have been raised in the church all of my life. I also had to find out if I knew the church was true or not. Back when I was a teenager I was faced with a dilema. I did not want to go to church on Sunday because I felt out of place. I didn't have many friends in my ward. When I went to my mom and told her of my problem she asked me a question. "Do you believe the church is true because of the people that are in it? Or do you believe it is true because you believe it?" That statement has never left my mind. I know that this is the true church with all of my heart. I have felt my Saviors hand in my life. I have felt His arms cirlce me in love when I needed it most. I KNOW that my Savior lives. I know that the atonement is real. That He suffered for all of my sins and sorrows. I know that I don't need to feel alone. He knows my heart and my sorrows. But He also knows my strengths. And He helps me discover and remeber them every day. I know that families can be together forever. I have lost family members though out the years and I have felt them near me at times. I will do all I can to return to live with my family, my Heavenly Father and Savior for all eternity. I know that He has blessed us with a living prophet. As I hear the prophets voice I know he is a man of God. As I read the Book of Mormon there is so much power and truth in it. I know if you ask with a sincere heart if it is true you will get an answer.

How I live my faith

I have always tried to be a friend to all. That is how my parents have raised me. It has been a great blessing in my life. I can see something good in everyone I meet. Even when some have tried to bring me down I have been able to rely on my family and my faith to lift me up. And everytime I have felt that I have reached my limit, the Lord has shown me that it can stretch just a little bit more. I attend church every Sunday. I make time each day to pray, read my scriptures and to write in my journal. I love the feeling I get when I do these things. I feel strengthened and closer to my Heavenly Father and Savior.
