Hi I'm McKenna Clawson

I was born and raised in Southern California. I love spontaneous adventures and pretty places. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm 19 years old. I play the piano and love all music, especially music I can dance and sing to. To me, there are few things better than blasting music and dancing shamelessly while driving around with my friends. I love being in nature and exploring new places. I love the ocean and never get sick of watching the sunset. After spending a year at BYU, I decided to serve a mission. I am now a missionary in the Chile Santiago East Mission. I am so grateful for the opportunity I have to share my testimony of this gospel with the people of Chile. I have felt so much comfort, love, and happiness from knowing that I am a literal daughter of a literal Heavenly Father whose son laid down His life for me, and I hope for all people to be able to feel that same love and comfort. Following my mission, I will go back to BYU to finish a degree in Engineering. I hope to someday use my career to travel and help the progression of impoverished people.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because this church has brought greater peace and happiness in my life than anything I've ever experienced or imagined. I know that Jesus Christ died for my weaknesses and has felt every sorrow I have ever felt and will ever feel in this lifetime. He was risen from the dead and lives to comfort and strengthen both me and you. He is the only way that we can make it back to our heavenly home. I am a Mormon because there is no greater blessing than knowing that my family will be together forever, even beyond this life. I am a Mormon because I know that I am a daughter of the Almighty God, who wants me to come back home to live with him forever.

How I live my faith

I live my faith through obedience to God's laws and service to His children. I strive to share God's love with those around me. I try to be aware of people's struggles and lend a hand to lift them up. Though far from perfect, I try to avoid judgement and see others as who they can become, rather than who they are now.

What do Mormons believe about family?

McKenna Clawson
Mormons believe the family to be one of the most sacred institutions created by God. Our Heavenly Father has organized us into families so we can be nurtured and strengthened by each other, and develop meaningful and lasting relationships. As members of this church, we believe that families can be together forever, through a sacred temple ordinance called a "sealing." This means that after the passing of a loved one, families can be assured that they will see their family member again in the next life. Show more Show less
