Hi I'm Shari

I grew up in a faithful Christian home.I'm a mother, wife and nurse. My family is the center of my life. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife and mother. We have thee beautiful teenagers. Life is busy for us with sports, dance, church and family time. I enjoy serving in the community and helping in the schools when time permits. I presently work as a nurse at a nearby hospital. I have been working as nurse for 28 years, I have worked in many areas of healthcare. At first, I worked to support myself and then my husband in school, and now my husband and I work together to support our family.I find joy working with people and supporting them during their difficulties. My life is very busy but I find time to go to dance competitions, sporting events, and band concerts for my children and their friends. I love to read adventure, mystery and fantasy books. I enjoy creating scrapbooks to remember our family activities. I recently became excited about discovering our family heritage and enjoy spending time discovering our roots.Another favorite hobby I have is camping. I love the outdoor, forest, mountains, by a lake, river or ocean.

Why I am a Mormon

I came from a part member family. My dad was not active but had shared a few teachings like family home evening and his faith in God. My mother was a faithful woman and taught me about Jesus and prayer.I had been blessed to be in a wonderful family. I always felt families were important. I was introduced to the church as a youth by a neighbor.I attended the youth group and then on Sundays. I always believed in God and Jesus Christ. I felt if God would be present in a church, I would feel His peace and love in my heart in that church. It made sense to me, when I heard of the Joseph Smith's story, and his search for truth. Asking God about the truth made complete sense, after all isn't God the author of truth? I continued to attend the church and studied the scriptures. The Book of Mormon, was given to me and I read and prayed.I felt peace and knew that I should be a part of the church. As the years have past, my belief in God has strengthened. I see His hand in my life and the lives of my family and friends. Prayer has aided me in coping with the trials and difficulties I have faced in my own life. I know that there is a God he is real , knows our needs, and hears our prayers. He sends the help we need, through his angels on earth or heaven. He has given a church as a place to be supported as we walk through life, a place of learning, comfort, and of service. We can become more like our Savior by our faithfulness and attendance.

How I live my faith

I work hard to live my faith every day. The work id do inside my home is important to me and serving my husband and family.I serve in the community at the high school on the athletic booster committee and on the high school graduation party.I teach the preschool children on Sundays during Sunday School. The are a delight and teach me many great lessons.I love to sing songs with them and talk of God and Jesus. I serve on a troop level, as a committee member, supporting our local Boy Scout troop. We plan events and support the boys as they progress through the programs the Scouts have. It is fun to watch the young boys grow into young men.
