Hi I'm Michelle

I was born in Utah to parents who were both members of the LDS church. I married in the temple and have five children.

About Me

I am a stay at home mom who loves to do anything but clean. I like making jewelry and sewing. I sing and read fiction. I someday would like to be a published author. I graduated from college with a degree in family science and I employ what I learned everyday in raising my family. I used to be in plays when I was younger and have recently been cast in an upcoming production. This outgoing activity has helped me to overcome a long depression. I am also trying to become more healty after my many difficult pregnancies.

Why I am a Mormon

Even though I grew up a member of this church I had to find out for myself that the gospel was true. I read the Book of Mormon as a young girl and knew in my heart and mind through the power of the Holy Ghost that it was true. Praying and fasting throughout my life have strengthened my testimony of our living Savior, Jesus Christ. He died for us and suffered for our sins so that we could repent and live again. Repenting every day of the things that I do that are contrary to what I should do helps me to more fully believe in my Savior. When my husband lost his job the day before I gave birth to our fifth child shook my belief that anything good could happen in my life. When God orchestrated a perfect situation for my husband and our family my faith in Him was strengthened and I now believe that God is mindful of us wheather we are mindful of Him or not. Because of the atonement, Jesus Christ knows what it is like to be human. He knows we make repetitive mistakes every day even though we wish we didn't. If we turn to Him in humility we may be forgiven daily and eventually become more like Him. If we are consistant in our desire to be close to our Heavenly Father we will succeed in this desire through our faith in Christ.

How I live my faith

I serve with the children in my ward as a primary teacher. I also do whatever else is asked of me because I believe that forgetting myself and serving others is the best way to find myself. I visit three ladies in my ward, or congregation, with a partner to check on them, help them, care for them, and see that theirspiritual, emotional, and temporal needs are met. I also volunteer at my kids' school. I pray for others as well as myself that we may all feel God's influence in our lives.

What is the role of the husband and the wife in the family?

Michelle
I work as stay at home mom and believe that I can best raise my children to have faith in Jesus Christ by chosing this as my job. My husband works outside the home to provide for our temporal needs. We both work together to nurture them and raise them to be responsible, courteous, loving, and hard working people. We work on our relationship so that we may provide a positive example of a healthy marriage for our children. We are truly partners and help-meets. Show more Show less
