Hi I'm Katelyn

I love my family, laughing, painting, cooking and the outdoors! And I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I love to play soccer. I love to be outdoors and go hiking, swimming, boating and running. I love to cook/bake. I also love to paint and draw. I'm a junior in college and am eager to learn. If I could live anywhere it would be the Shire (yes I love LOTR). One of the most important things to me is family. I love my family more than anything in this world. My family has been such a strength to me when I face trials in my life. I have been so blessed to have a family who has centered their lives on Jesus Christ. Through Christ we, as a family, have come together and been strengthened and been able to see the blessings that God has for us.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I want to follow my Savior and become the best that I can be. I am a Mormon because I love my family and want to live with them for eternity. I am a Mormon because I have read the Book of Mormon and know for myself that it is true. I was born and raised into the Church, although I have not always had my own witness of the truth of this gospel. Just as everything in life we have to work to get what we want, this is the same as a testimony. My testimony took work to obtain, and continues to take work to retain. I didn't truly have a firm and full testimony until about 3 years ago. I finally decided to pray sincerely and truly ask for myself if this church was true. Heavenly Father answered my prayer. He confirmed to me that what I have learned and studied about all my life is true. Joseph Smith restored this gospel. We have a modern day prophet, Thomas Monson, who communicates to us God's will today. I know the Book of Mormon is the word of God. Through it I have found so many answers to so many questions. Heavenly Father loves each and everyone of us. I know and love my Savior and Heavenly Father. I know the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the only true church on this earth today.

How I live my faith

I am a missionary in Ohio. I have the wonderful opportunity to serve at the Historic Kirtland Visitors Center. I love feeling the sacred spirit that dwells here. I also get to serve in areas all around Kirtland and teach people more about this gospel and the blessings that it can provide to each of our lives. Being a missionary gives me a perspective that I didn't have before. It helps me understand more that God has a plan and is aware of each and everyone of us. He gives us blessings unique to everyone. He truly loves all of his children.
