Hi I'm Kira

I grew up in Texas and have a love for learning and teaching. I love growing closer to God. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently a student and waitress preparing to serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I am a sophomore in college and am studying to become an English major. I love reading, and want to become an English teacher in order to impart that same love on others. I have a fraternal twin sister, two younger sisters, and a younger brother, all of whom I love dearly and enjoy having very close relationships with. I love my family and enjoy spending as much tine with them as possible!

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because I know that all of the greatest joys in my life are a direct result of my faith. The gospel brings me so much light, comfort, and hope, and makes me want to be a better person, one worthy of living with God after death. I know that if I strive to live the commandments and follow church doctrine, which I know to be the true and full doctrine of Christ, I can live with God and even come to be like Him, made perfect by the Atonement. I am so thankful for my knowledge of the truthfulness of this gospel, and would not mock God by turning away from this faith that He has given me. I know that being a Mormon helps me to become the person God wants me to be, and I am so excited to live my life in a way that will make Him proud of me.

How I live my faith

I share my faith with others everyday in word and deed as I work to serve my fellow men and live as Christ did when He was on the Earth. I love this gospel and want others to feel the same light, comfort, hope, and joy that I have experienced as a member of God's church. It is because of this that I have decided to serve as a full-time missionary for this church. I want my fellow men, God's beloved children, to experience the greatness of the gospel and all the blessings that come with being a disciple of Christ. I love knowing that God is helping me in my efforts to serve Him and share the gospel, and I am so happy to serve Him. In addition to my daily efforts, one Sunday a month I also teach women of our faith in my area about the gospel as taught by our latter-day prophets. I love teaching these wonderful women and learning from their own thoughts and insights, as these experiences strengthen my testimony of the gospel and of Christ.
