Hi I'm Ken Jackson

I'm a Mormon. I grew up in Utah and have been a member of the Church since I was 8 years old. That was 60 years ago.

About Me

I completed high school in 1964 then joined the U.S. Air Force in 1965. I went to basic training at Lackland AFB, Texas. My first assignment was Travis AFB, California. In August 1966 I was transferred to Nha Trang AB, Viet Nam. In 1997 I went to McChord AFB, Washington until another transfer to Clark AB, Philippines. In 1969 I left the Air Force and returned to Utah where I graduated from Utah Technical College, not known as Utah Valley University in 1972. I 1973 I returned to the Air Force and was again stationed at McChord AFB, Washington. In 1974 I was transferred to Yokota AB, Japan. In 1977 I went to Beale AFB, California and then to Lackland AFB, Texas in 1980. In the latter half of 1982 I worked a Foreign Military Sales position in Mekness, Morocco. In 1984 I left for a tour of duty in Misawa AB, Japan where I stayed until July 1988. I was then transferred to Warner-Robins AFB.; Georgia. In 1991 I moved for the last time to Randolph AFB, Texas where I retired in 1998. After retirement from the Air Force I worked for Hallmark College, Aeronautics, as the Director of Training until 2001 when I obtained a position with US Investigative Services as a Special Investigator where I stayed until my final retirement in 2009. Since that time I work in the San Antonio Texas Temple and continue to do my best to follow my Saviors Gospel.

Why I am a Mormon

I know this is Christ's restored church. I know that God lives, Jesus is the Christ, and that President Thomas S. Monson is God's Prophet on the earth today.

How I live my faith

I was not active in the church from approximately 1966 to 2001. I never lost my faith, but I did not attend church nor live the Word of Wisdom. In 2001 I returned to church. Since that time I have been a counselor in two Bishoprics, a Sunday School teacher twice ( I now teach Gospel Essentials), have been the Bishop's Executive Secretary and the Ward Mission Leader. I have truly enjoyed each calling and will do whatever my Heavenly Father asks me to do.
