Hi I'm Branden

I'm a Mormon. I'm from sunny St. George, Utah. I like jumping off cliffs and climbing trees. My mother worries about me sometimes.

About Me

I've been alive miraculously for 19 years now. I grew up in the church and have been blessed with a great family who lives the gospel. I was born in Michigan and lived most of my life in Utah. I love everything to do with water and the outdoors, which is why I was so excited to come serve my mission here in Nebraska... I love sharing my witness of Christ with all those Nebraskans I've come to love. Go Big Red.

Why I am a Mormon

I know my Father lives. He loves me and has given me the fullness of the His gospel. I believe that Jesus Christ is my Savior and Redeemer. I also believe that He called the prophet Joseph Smith to restore His church to the earth. I know that it is Christ's church and it is led by Him and no one else. I believe the Book of Mormon to be true, which is evidence of God's love and His reaching out to all of us through a modern prophet who receives revelation for all of God's children. I also know that I can receive answers from God through the Holy Ghost. This is how I have come to know and believe these things. I could not say any of this was true except for the fact of what I have felt and experienced in my life.

How I live my faith

I come closer to my Father in Heaven each day through prayer and studying the scriptures. I love going to church and feeling the spirit as I go to the temple. I have been working on following the example of Jesus Christ and becoming the person He knows I can become.

Why do Mormons baptize their new members?

Branden
Jesus Christ gave us an example by being baptized. When we are baptized we make a promise with God to follow Jesus Christ and keep His commandments. Baptism really is just the start of our journey back to God. Only faith and repentance come before it. When we learn about Christ we desire to follow Him and so we change ourselves. Baptism is called the "first fruits of repentance". I know that each person who sincerely desires to follow Christ will want to be baptized by someone holding God's priesthood authority. Just like how Christ went to John the Baptist, whom God had given His priesthood. Show more Show less
