Hi I'm Katie

I'm a lover of travel. Avid reader. Amateur photographer. Daughter. Sister. Aunt. Friend. I'm a mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a large family of 9. I am a college graduate. I play the violin and piano. I love to travel and want to see the world. I spent the best year and a half of my life living on the beautiful island of Puerto Rico, teaching the gospel of Jesus Christ. I hope to someday have my own large family like the one I grew up in.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised a member of this church. My parents taught me to live and love the gospel of Jesus Christ. When I was 14, I gained my own firm testimony of the church. Through prayer, I asked Heavenly Father if the church was true. Immediately, a warmth spread through me. That warmth I felt was the spirit testifying to me that the church is true. Since that day I have tried to live in a way that would please my Heavenly Father. Not because my parents wanted me to, but because I wanted to. I know without a doubt that this church is true. I know that our older brother Jesus Christ suffered and died for us so that one day if we are faithful, we might return to live with him again. I know that we will live again after this life. We can live with our families forever through this gospel. I find no greater joy than this knowledge. What a blessing it is to know that I will see my family that has already passed on (and those still living) again. I know that Joseph Smith received an answer to his prayer about which church is true. God and his son Jesus Christ appeared to him, and through them, he restored the Church of Jesus Christ on the earth. He also translated the Book of Mormon which I know to be the word of God. I have found this book to be a strength and a guide in my life and I know that you can too. If you haven't already read it, I encourage you to do so. And when you're done, pray about it and ask if what you have read is true. You will receive an answer.

How I live my faith

I study the scriptures each morning so that I might feel the spirit throughout the day and so that I might learn more of this gospel and what I must do in my life to be a righteous and obedient daughter of God. I teach four and five year olds in a class at church so that they might learn more of this church. They in turn teach me.
