Hi I'm Erin Cusick

I am a dancer, a student, and a daughter. I am currently majoring in Animal Science with a Pre-Veterinary emphasis. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to dance, play soccer, and make ceramic pottery. I recently returned from a voluntary mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in central California. I am currently an Animal Science major at BYU-I hoping to get my prerequisites done for Veterinary School. I love to surf, swim, and make new friends! The gospel of Jesus Christ is a huge part of my life and strengthens me daily! It is my confidence and reminds me to always be happy.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because that was the religion I chose. My mother is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, but my dad is Catholic. When I was younger my parents let me choose which church I wanted to go to. I never felt pressured and made my decision to usually go to church with my mom. I was baptized into the church at age 8 and around age 12 I really realized that I had made a great decision. I loved the people at church, and the way it made me feel. It was around this time that I began to really gain a testimony of this gospel. This church teaches principles that can benefit us emotionally and physically. It has shaped me into a strong and confident woman who tries her best to lift and build others up. I know that the Book of Mormon is true. I know this because I have prayed to God about it and have studied the scriptures quite a bit. The feelings I get when I read from the Bible and the Book of Mormon help me to know that what I am learning is good. The things that are taught in both books of scripture encourage me to be the best person I can be! I know that Christ loves us so much. I feel so honored to have a family that taught me some about Him while I was growing up. I am also really grateful that we still have prophets on the Earth today! What an incredible blessing it is to still have a mouthpiece for God on the Earth today. I am grateful for prayer, and know that God hears every single one. We may not always get the answers we want to them, but we always get exactly what we need. I love my family and am so grateful for their love me! I hope I can continue to grow into someone who will make Heavenly Father, and my family extremely proud.

How I live my faith

I try to be a good example to others through my actions and motives. I think it is really important to not just go to church, but to really try and become more like Jesus Christ. I believe that love can heal all wounds, and that everyone deserves kindness. I believe in being open and honest with my thoughts and opinions. I love talking about religion and think it is important to be considerate of other peoples beliefs and feelings! No one ever deserves to feel put down or degraded. If you are feeling a lack of love in your life, head my way!

What is the Law of Chastity?

Erin Cusick
The law of chastity states that sexual relations will only be between a man and a woman who are bound by marriage. We shouldn't engage in any sexual acts before marriage. Once we are married we should only have sexual relationships with our husband or wife. The law of chastity helps to create a stronger and more lasting bond in marriage. Show more Show less
