Hi I'm Trey

I have been taught to work, love, and play i am a Mormon

About Me

I grew up in a loving family who taught me to work hard. I am a small town Idaho boy, with a great passion to help others. I ran cross country, played tennis, and basketball while always finding time to spend with friends. One if my Fathers greatest rules was you start it you finish it and I strive to live that each day.

Why I am a Mormon

I am blessed to have been born into the church, i believe i would be to suborn to seek it out. Although i was born a Mormon, i was not truly a member. I leaned on my parents testimony of the truthfulness of the gospel for far too long. The problem with this, is i was never there for me or the lord. i went to church to keep them happy not to fill my soul with joy. The first time I knew of the truthfulness for myself was at a young men's encampment. The camp is called sons of Helaman, it's purpose is to help young men grow in the gospel. This camp created lots of memories that I hold dear to my heart, I felt the love of my God, and my savior unlike anything before. Not only did this camp help plant the seed of my testimony, but it gave my a burning desire to serve a mission. I am now 19 and can proudly say I am going to serve the lord, more specifically in the Pachuca Mexico mission. since the camp my testimony has grown tremendously. I know with all my heart the book of Mormon is true, it has been established for our day and age. I know that a young man had enough faith to ask of the lord what churches are true and latter translated the book of Mormon. I also know the Lord let his beloved son come to this earth to lead the way and bear our sins, I know that by doing so I can repent of my sins i am thankful for a living prophet and the holy priesthood and with that power it has protected my family from harm I know these things with all of my heart and that's why I am a Mormon

How I live my faith

living my faith is hard in this world, many people don't know what I stand for and can very critical of some aspects. What I do is always try and have a smile on my face it shows I am happy and maybe others will want that joy. I keep my words and actions pure, it can be easy to mix words with slang but by not doing so helps others see how I am different. I also love to do service. often times the motivation to get up and help someone is hard, but when I do and see the smiles on the peoples faces its all worth it. Although I have never been asked my testimony from a nonmember I would love the opportunity to do so in the future.
