Hi I'm Kyler

I've lived in Maui for my highschool years. I got into surfing, paddle boarding, and free diving. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I'm currently finishing up my last semester of high school on Maui. I am also taking college classes at the same time which allows me to have double the high school credit as well as receiving credit for college. I love the ocean and try and go as much as possible. I surf every chance I get, and when the waves are small I go out and free dive/spearfish for some dinner. I recently completed a three month internship at the Maui Ocean Center, where I was able to learn a lot about Hawaii's marine life and what a job would feel like at an aquarium. I hope to always live by the water.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was young I went to church with my mom and sisters. They got baptized but my dad never did. Once I became the age of 8 I didn't want to be baptized, so I didn't and instead stayed at home with my dad on Sundays. We would always have the missionaries over for dinner at least once a month. One Sunday I woke up with my dad telling me wake up! We are going to church. I was shocked and didn't believe what I had heard, but I went anyways. We went every Sunday after that and took the discussions with the missionaries. One lesson they asked us the question will you get baptized. My dad looked to me and said I will if he will. I of course said yes. It wasn't till later however until I personally gained my own testimony of the gospel. I set a goal to finish the Book of Mormon and once I read it cover to cover and prayed to Heavenly Father to know if it was true I got a definite answer that it was true. I know the gospel has made my life happier and gives me guidance through my life in all that I do. If you read the Book of Mormon I promise you it will only make your life better and you will feel peace. I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ amen.

How I live my faith

Through the church there is always plenty of opportunites to serve others. Expecially in my ward that is very transit, their are people moving in and out all the time so I help moving their belongings. I am also a hometeacher with my dad as my partner. We are assigned families in the ward and we go and visit them once a month, offering our service as much as possible. I have just recived my mission call, so I will be sharing my faith with others for two years of my life.
