Hi I'm Emily

I've lived in Oregon my whole life. I am the oldest child out of 5. I am a Mormon. I know it. I live it. I love it!

About Me

I love to play the piano and about 2 years ago I started playing the organ in sacrament meeting. I also love to read. I have fun playing tennis at the high school, even though I'm not that good. I love hanging out with my friends and family. I am planning to go to college at BYU Idaho in about a year and a half. After a year at college, I am planning on then going on a mission and then coming home and finishing school. After my mission I hope to get married and have an eternal family.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because, for me, it's a lot easier than being anything else. I don't know what I would do without the gospel in my life. Everything is clear and all of the answers are there, if you're willing to look for them. I know that the church is true because I have read the Book of Mormon and have prayed about it. For me it wasn't a huge conformation, because I knew before that the church was true. I just needed that small conformation to know. I love having Heavenly Father always there for me and knowing that he is only a prayer away always makes me feel safe and comforted.

How I live my faith

I help out in the community by giving service to those in need. Every year, about the start of school, I help by spending at least 10 hours of my own time to pick pears for the needy. I also help people out in the church by babysitting or cleaning mothers' houses for them so they can get out of the house for a little bit.
