Hi I'm Josh

I grew up in Western Oregon. I'm a college student, distance runner, and musician. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love distance running and frequently run on mountain and park trails. I am a college student studying finance at Brigham Young University. My goal is to become like my grandfather, who was a businessman with a reputation for being sharp but fair. I learned from him that a person can be a successful business professional without stepping on others to reach his or her goals. I plan on following his example in this respect. I believe that I can become a successful person, while simultaneously using my skills to build those around me.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in the Church, but raised with the understanding that my involvement in the gospel needed to be my decision. Originally I chose to participate because the people I most respected in my life were all faithful members of the Church. As I grew older, I gained a personal testimony of the truthfulness of the church and the blessings that it brings into my life. I have learned through experience that living its principles brings true happiness, regardless of my circumstances.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving as a full-time missionary for the LDS church. I strive each day to find a way to serve others and bring myself a little closer to Christ. I find tremendous joy in my faith and my greatest desire is to share that joy with others.

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

Yes they can and yes we do! We believe that families can be together with Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ for eternity in a state of Joy. Mathew 16:19 speaks of what we call the sealing power. We believe that if we strive to obey God's commandments and complete certain ordinances, we can be sealed to our loved ones for all of eternity. This means that we can live with them in a never ending state of joy even after death. Show more Show less
