Hi I'm Jessica

I'm born and raised in Utah. I love my family! And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Well, I am the big sister in my family with 3 younger brothers to bug (even though they're bigger than me)! As a child, I grew up mostly in a single-parent home and we moved a lot! So making new friends is one of my favorite things to do! Ever since I was young I have loved to sing and play the piano. I think music is such an important part of the world! It reaches out to people when other things cannot. A few of my favorites are 'The Phantom of the Opera' and of course, 'The Little Mermaid'. My ultimate dream come true would be to sing with the 'Mormon Tabernacle Choir' (Check it out! http://www.mormonchannel.org/mormon-tabernacle-choir ). I have also been called as a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and will soon be leaving for New Mexico! When I return home I plan to go to school for as long as I can and to start a family of my very own. I am excited for my future and can't wait to see what's in store!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have felt the unconditional love that Heavenly Father has for all of us. His love is the greatest power in my life and I cannot deny him. I know that Heavenly Father created us and sent us to live a life on earth to become more like him. We are his sons and daughters and he wants us to return to him someday. I have felt the confirmation of this in my heart and I know that this church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, is God's true Church and has been restored for us at this time. I can personally testify that my life has been blessed by our loving Heavenly Father. I feel true eternal happiness in his church that cannot be found anywhere else. Being a Mormon, I have truly come to know Heavenly Father and our Savior, Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to be the best person I can be and by doing things I know to be good. Like truly giving what I can, loving those around me, continuously working for better, and being a neighbor to others. But most importantly, I live my faith by becoming actively involved in the church callings I receive. Right now my calling is to serve as a missionary in New Mexico where I'll soon be giving every day to Heavenly Father and the work he has for me. I will be sharing his Gospel in places I've never been and will experience trials I haven't before faced. And all the while I am anxious to go and do the things Heavenly Father asks of me. Living my faith is following the example that the Savior set for us... and that brings me closer to him.

How can we come to know our Father in Heaven?

Jessica
Heavenly Father loves all His children and waits anxiously to communicate with us. One of the many ways we can do so is by prayer. Praying to Heavenly Father can be one of the quickest ways to feel of the love He has for us. You can also come to know of Him by reading from scriptures such as The Book of Mormon or the Bible. These great records are full of testimonies and stories from Ancient prophets who were lead by our Heavenly Father throughout their lives. Reading their experiences shows the nature of our loving Heavenly Father and what he wants for us. Manifestations of our Heavenly Father can also be found in the simple and beautiful things of life, from majestic mountains to small blooming flowers. As you actively seek out Heavenly Father and desire to believe in Him, you will come to know Him and know that He loves you. Show more Show less
