Hi I'm Raymond Cutler

I teach engineering at the University of Utah, do research on ceramics, love my family, and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a husband and a father. I am also a scientist and teach at a university. I love the outdoors. In the summer I like to hike and bike. In the winter I enjoy skiing and snow shoeing. I love "kids days" with my grandchildren.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have read the Book of Mormon and have prayed to know that it is true. I love the doctrines revealed through the prophet Joseph Smith about Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. I love the spirit I feel as I pray, study, minister, and serve in the temple. I know that God lives, that Jesus is my Savior, that the Holy Spirit is a guide in my life, and that modern day apostles and prophets guide us today. I love God and find truth in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

How I live my faith

I use my faith at home, at work, in my recreation, and at church. My faith brings me joy at home as we work together, pray together, and enjoy the outdoors together as a family. At work, I pray for inspiration to help me solve problems and have original ideas. In the outdoors I see the hand of God in all of his creations. At church, I serve wherever I am called. I have particularly enjoyed visiting in homes and strengthening the youth in outdoor and service opportunities.
