Hi I'm Michael DeGraff

I enjoy change and doing my best at all I do. I'm a Triathlete, a friend, and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

What's there to know about me? How about I'm involved in and enjoy many sports and doing triathlons, hanging out with friends, learning new things, being a friend, and lending a listening ear to those who need it. To say the least, I love my faith and what I have become because of it.

Why I am a Mormon

Keeping things hopeful, in perspective, and moving forward are all aspects of God's plan, and as I have come to learn this for myself, I continue to see positive experiences come into my life because of my what I believe. It's true in my experience that everything happens for a reason, and for me, something that is good is worth following and learning about. Simply put, I focus my life on becoming better and coming closer to God.

How I live my faith

Throughout my time in the church, I've been given responsibilities that have helped me learn and have helped others come closer to Christ. At one point, I was able to teach and lead groups of youth in activities and acts of service for elderly, sick, and people in need. Opportunities are all around us, and for me, they have always been something I have appreciated and that have brought great satisfaction. Learning to contribute to the communities and neighbors around me has given me and others positive experiences, created unity, and also has allowed me to build good friendships with others. After all, I just have been doing the best with what I have, and I thank God for it each and every day.

What blessings can you receive from reading the Book of Mormon, the Bible, and other scriptures?

Michael DeGraff
By reading the scriptures you gain knowledge, which can be confirmed as truth through prayer and the Holy Ghost. God shows us in the Book of Mormon how the words of Christ should be pondered and studied: "And now, as the preaching of the word had a great tendency to lead the people to do that which was just—yea, it had had more powerful effect upon the minds of the people than the sword, or anything else, which had happened unto them—therefore Alma thought it was expedient that they should try the virtue of the word of God" (Alma 31:5). Blessings include confidence, joy, and hope. I know these blessing are true because I have constantly experienced them in my own life. Show more Show less
