Hi I'm Austin Mounts

I've spent most of my life in Moses Lake. I love this Gospel! I'm serving a mission in Virginia and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I am the oldest in my family of five. There are three girls and two of us boys. I attended one track of college at BYU-Idaho. I was involved in my high school Chamber choir group and Jazz choir group. I enjoy music a lot and continue to involve myself in singing in church with friends and family.

Why I am a Mormon

I have always had the church in my family, I was born into it. As I got older I started to wonder why I was a member of the church at times. As I would read from the Book of Mormon I would pray beforehand to have my mind opened up as to understand the scriptures and apply the teachings they have to my life and ponder if these things which I would read were true. As I read I would feel so peaceful, and happy. All of my stress would be lifted from me and reading the Book of Mormon would always make me feel so good! I never had a feeling such as this from any other book. This gospel made me feel so happy! The family is such an important part of this gospel and I was a part of this church because of that and because it always will bring me happiness if I just do my part and live the counsel we have been given by the prophets today. I know without a doubt that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is true, and it can and will always bring true happiness.

How I live my faith

I've been a youth leader over the young men a few times in my ward throughout the years. When I attended college I was in charge of our Family Home Evening activities and church lessons we would have. One of my roommates and I would also home teach two young women and two young men in our ward. I strive to live as our older brother Jesus Christ did and follow his example to the best of my ability. As I serve a mission I find true joy in serving those around me as well, both in manual labor and in bringing the knowledge of the restored gospel to them.
