Hi I'm Tina

I am a Native American born in Montana. We live in the mountains and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I have lived in Montana most of my life. I was raised on a stud ranch located south of Great Falls by my German grandfather where I learned to train, ride, and play on horseback. I am biologically a mother of three and a grandmother of one.... I also have three step kids and two more grandchildren on that side. Although I was raised by my grandfather, I was drawn to my Native American side of the family. My tribe is located in S.E. Alaska and I was able to live there for a couple years but I soon found out that I am too much of a horse lover to leave the mountains Montana and so I returned south. I have all sorts of interests: Native American beading, leather work, tanning hides, wood work, hunting, fishing, HORSES, and now that I am a grandma i have taken up yarn work as well! My education includes graduating from Great Falls High in 1987, and a two year degree in Fitness and nutrition.

Why I am a Mormon

When I read the history of the church and the introduction to the book of Mormon I knew I had finally found the truth! No other church could ever answer the questions that I had asked but as soon as I started to study for myself.... there they were in black and white.... honest and true answers.... explainations to help me understand.... no lie!

How I live my faith

It took me 40 years to find the church... or more like it found me in the worst dive in town. My current husband went to the depths of hell to find me and together we have made a great life of living on the mountain and building a cabin! We attend church and a small branch about 25 miles away and I have now been a active member since Jan. of 2010! We both have answered our callings within the church and we both are current with our monthly Home/visiting teaching scheduals. I am also involved with organizing activities for the adults in our branch and we (at times) coordinate our events with the main ward in Great Falls.

Is it true that Jesus appeared in North America after his crucifixion and resurrection according to the Book of Mormon?

I use to wonder about the lost tribes and why there was not any evidence of Jesus teaching all his people? And then when I read the beginning of the book of Mormon - there it was! For sure it is true! How can anyone think that our savior and christ would not have visited and taught ALL of his flock..... I know this to be a true documentation of Jesus Christ teaching his children! I know with all my heart that he has a plan for everyone and I am so happy that it was revieled to Josph Smith..... I hope you all find the peace that this knowledge brought to me. Why was a Restoration of the Gospel needed? Haven’t we always had the Bible?

Just imagin how Mark, John, Luke and the others felt when Jesus died.... what did they do? They went back to what they knew how to do, which was fishing! And then what happened? Jesus appered to them and asked Peter - " Peter, does thou love me?" Three times he asked Peter this question and three times Peter answered " yea Lord, thou knowest I love thee" ...... "Then why are you back out here on the very same water I found you?" ..... " I need fishers of men Peter"..... Isn't this so true that we always go back to to what we think is beater or easier - But the lord has called all of us to fight in his army and that means ALL of us! Show more Show less

How can we increase our faith in Jesus Christ?

To have faith in something or to believe in something is to know what it is all about! And to know who and what Jesus Christ is about.... you have to read the scriptures..... you have to pray..... you have to submit yourself to the laws of God..... you have to follow the commandments..... you have to be baptised..... but most of all - you have got to believe what the scriptures tell you! Do you believe in God? Do you believe that He can do what He says He can do? Faith is believing in something that you can not see..... Show more Show less
