Hi I'm Mary Larson

I grew up in California. I'm an Artist, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm original from sunny California, but now reside in the beautiful state of Utah. I'm an artist by nature, even when I was small I was always drawing; a sketchbook was never far from me. I sketch anything and everything that catches my eye, from the smallest leaf to the biggest mountain. I enjoy art of all kinds and love to hike around the National parks and see the beauty that is all around us. Heavenly Father gave us all this because He loves us. He made them for us. And because he loves us so much he has given us families. My family is one of the most important thing to me; my mom, my dad and my two brothers. They Support me and help me to Grow. I'm attending Brigham Young University—Idaho, where I am majoring in art and hopefully someday will be able to get into the field of animation. I am currently serving a full time mission sharing the gifts and talents I have been given to help the people around me.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because I know its the true gospel, it makes me happy and I want to be happy. It brings me peace to know all that our Savior, Jesus Christ, did for us. Because of His Atonement, we can live with our families again for eternity. This knowledge gives me peace and joy because it means I can be with my dad (who recently passed away) again someday, as well as be with my family for eternity. I know that each one of us has something to give. We each have different talents, gifts, and abilities that can bless the lives of others. They may be small or they may be big but it doesn't matter because we all have something to contribute. With that knowledge, I know that even though I'm not the best at everything, I still have so much to offer because I'm a Daughter of God and I am loved.

How I live my faith

I have grown up with the gospel all my life; I didn't really know how important it was to me until my Father passed away. That was when my faith and my testimony was tested and strengthened. I could not have coped with my loss without the loving support I received from family members and ward members; they truly were a miracle for me. By their example I learned that because of what I have been taught and know that I can be with all my family members again. But most importantly I couldn't have done it without the knowledge that because of how much Jesus Christ loved each one of us he suffered and died for us; that through his sacrifice we can be forgiven and be able to live with our families again. That is a beautiful thing. I show my faith by using the talents and gifts I have been given to help others, to bring them joy as well as giving service to the people I love and the people who are in need. Because I know it is the strongest way to show others the love of Christ and the love he has for each one of us.
