Hi I'm Dave

I grew up in Manchester UK; I have a beautiful wife and 3 great children and run a group of successful businesses. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a family man with a great wife and 3 wonderful children, I enjoy community service, developing business soloutions and seeing my family grow and develop. I love being a father and husband and enjoy studying and writing about leadership.

Why I am a Mormon

The Restored Gospel of Jesus Christ enables me to understand that we are all sons and daughters of a loving Father in Heaven, that I have a purpose and a divine potential. I have been an active member of the church all my life. My mother joined the church as a result of the gospel being shared with her by LDS missionaries In the sixties, she raised me along with my 5 siblings in the faith. My father eventually joined the church when I was a young teenager as a result of my mother's example and his study of the Book of Mormon which is another testament of Jesus Christ. I have come to know through my own experiences that I have a loving saviour who provides for me and all humanity through his atonement and resurrection the opportunity to be saved from sin and death. The feelings in my heart continue to affirm to me that what I believe is true and the thoughts and impressions I have direct me to do good. Through continually trying to serve those around me I am constantly learning the purpose of life and how the gospel of Jesus Christ helps me to become a better husband, father, son and brother.

How I live my faith

As an 18 year old young man I served a 2 year mission and for many years have had assignments to serve in different areas of the church both ecclesiastical and not. Serving as a Bishop taught me how important everyone of God's children are to Him and therefore has helped me to better serve those i have the opportunity to serve. I have had the opportunity to serve exclusively with the full time missionaries and youth of the church for many years on various presidencies. Outside of church service I employ over 40 people and strive to implement and maintain high moral standards throughout the work place and I try to be an example and treat them as God would have me treat them. I also enjoy serving in my community as police chaplain for Lancashire constabulary. I strive to be a good example in my home by supporting my wife in her role as a mother and her various daily activities inside the church and out. We both teach our children how to be positive contributing members of society and teach them important principles such as love, charity, honesty and kindness as well as other important values. In our faith we have family home evening (Monday night) where we devote this night to Christ centered discussions, teaching and learning together as a family.
