Hi I'm Mitch

I'm from Billings, Montana. I love the outdoors and all of Heavenly Father's creations. I'm proud to be a Mormon!

About Me

I just finished up my first year of college at the University of Utah where I am a pre-med student. I recently received a mission call to Barcelona, Spain and can't wait to serve the Lord! Growing up in beautiful Big Sky Country I have developed a deep sense of gratitude for Heavenly Father's wonderful creations. I love to hike, fly-fish, hunt, and ski in the incredible outdoors of Montana. I hope to go to medical school and become an orthopedic surgeon.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a Mormon family so I don't really have a cool conversion story but I will say that I have been more fully converted to Christ and His gospel as I have grown up. I know without a doubt that this is His church, restored again to the Earth just as He organized it during his earthly life. He has atoned for the sins of the world and is our infinite Savior and Redeemer. I have a firm testimony of the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon and know that Joseph Smith translated it by the gift and power of God. I know these things because I have earnestly prayed about them and have received a witness of their truthfulness from the Holy Ghost. Living the commandments that Heavenly Father has laid out for me makes me happy; I am always more happy when I am living righteously than when I am not. The Church is true and everyone can know for themselves by confirmation from the Holy Ghost!

How I live my faith

I attend church every Sunday and am thankful for the opportunity I have each time to worship Christ by taking His sacrament. I try to always be example of Christ and honor Him by living a honest, virtuous, wholesome life. Reading my scriptures (Bible and Book of Mormon) helps me to learn Christ's will for me and allows me to see my life in a more spiritual perspective.

What is faith?

Mitch
To have faith is to have trust in Heavenly Father and His wonderful plan for each of us. We are all spiritual sons and daughters of Heavenly Father and He loves us just as any good earthly father would love his children. We must have faith that Heavenly Father is all-knowing and will direct our lives in the way that only an all-knowing father could. At times it can be difficult to accept the fact that Heavenly Father's will for us may be different than our own. In situations like these we must exhibit faith; we must have a firm belief that if we living righteously Heavenly Father will never forsake us and will help us make it through all of life's challenges.
