Hi I'm Emily

I am a college student, a musician, I love the outdoors, I love to travel, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a college student studying public health. I love learning. I love laughing. I love to travel. I have an unrealistic goal to visit every continent. I love camping, hiking, white water river rafting and pretty much anything outdoors. I grew up spending a lot of time in nature with my family and my parents taught me to love and appreciate the beauty of God's creations. Most importantly my parents taught me a love for the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I love the Gospel. I love being a Mormon. I have been called to serve as a missionary for the church in Mexico City. I can't wait to go and serve the people there.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it makes me happy. It helps me be a good person. I was raised in the Church, but I have come to know for myself that it is true. I am a Mormon because I love the teachings of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I know they are true and I know that these teachings can bring us happiness and joy. I am a Mormon because the teachings of the Church bring me peace and act as my anchor in this world. I am a Mormon because I have come to know for myself that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is true.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by attending church every Sunday, by reading the scriptures and praying daily, by trying to serve and lift others, striving to treat others as Christ would and by striving to keep all of His commandments. I know it is by keeping these commandments that we can find true happiness. I will also live my faith by serving as a missionary for the church for 18 months in Mexico City.
