Hi I'm Matt Crowder

I grew up in Northern Virginia. I like sports and play trumpet. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a child of four and have two parents. My brother, who is the oldest sibling, is inactive in the church and has been for many years. Both of my parents came from families of nine children. My dad served in Lima, Peru; he claims he is one of the select few righteous Elders that served for 18 months. I'm currently on my mission and I am serving in Los Angeles, California and I am speaking Spanish. The second child of my family is my beautiful sister, who is married and has a little boy. She was sealed in the Salt Lake Temple for time and eternity with my brother-in-law who is a boss-hog. My next sibling is my other beautiful sister, who just graduated from the Y in elementary ed.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born a Mormon. When I was younger, the main reason I liked being Mormon was for the moral guidance. Now that I don't need as much moral guidance I love being Mormon in the way this church emphasizes Christ. Christ is the center and all things are led back to Him. I know that if I constantly strive to become more like Christ everyday that I will no doubt become a better person. I have gone on my knees before and prayed earnestly to our Heavenly Father and have asked if this church is true; I know for a fact that it is true.

How I live my faith

I constantly am trying to improve and become more like our Savior, Jesus Christ. I strive to read the scriptures almost everyday. One of the things that I like to remember is that it is okay that I am not perfect. I know that if I pray to our Heavenly Father every morning and night and constantly try to be like Him that one day through His atonement I can be like Him.
